9. Local Automatic Regulation (ЛАР)

LAR works on the same principle as the AR system but operates independently in each of its 12 zones. Each zone has one blue rod and four probes whose readings are summed together. The deviation of each zone from the shared setpoint is displayed on panel 4A.
Before LAR can be engaged, at least three zones must be balanced and deblocked — one in the center of the core and at least two adjacent to it.
LAZ must also be enabled prior to engagement.
Each zone has an individual corrector on panel 5A that offsets the target power for that zone relative to the global setpoint, allowing the operator to fine-tune flux distribution across the core without changing the setpoint itself.
